Valentine's Day (Week) 2014

We all know that these holidays are drawn out, especially with kids. :) Here is a photo dump of all things V-day. I realized at some point that as I was thinking, "Baby's 1st V-day!" that this isn't true anymore. With Walker turning 1 on Feb 1st, we hit our end with "firsts" as far as holidays go. Boo!

Grayson had a heart or two served with breakfast each morning. They either said something we love about him or a Bible verse related to love. He couldn't have cared less about these after Day 1 ;) Maybe next year!
Grayson had a play date with his buddies from play group. We realized that we stand a chance of getting them all sitting still in a picture if we order in pizza for lunch! :)

Grayson's questionaire at school

This one actually belongs to his buddy, Chase but oh man, did we all die laughing! "I love to sneak and find girls." Ha! The teacher thinks he's talking about hide and seek with his 2 older sisters ;)
My contribution to cheesy Holiday Pinterest ideas. G gave these out to the kids in his class. They were pretty easy to make and I thought they were cute! Grayson got a kick out of them so that's good too ;)
Eating his candy after school. His favorite part!
"Daddy, One more candy? One more? Daddy? One ore candy?" Over and over again. G finally broke him! ;)
Playing with his new light saber that Mimi and Pop gave him.
Mimi came to visit and bring us her awesome sugar cookies! She should sell those things! Walker's shirt said Dr. Love and really looked like scrubs! It was pretty funny.
Before Church on Sunday. This is about as good as this photo session got. ;) But we wanted to send Grammy and Dadgy a picture of the shirts they gave the boys. Thank you; love you guys!
Grayson and I made Daddy heart-shaped brownies. We ended up taking these to the Seemans' house V-day evening. They were gracious enough to have us invade their annual tradition of fondue night. It was so much fun and really delicious!
So last year a I declared that I was no longer "the girl who didn't want flowers" on holidays. I used to say I never wanted them b/c they just die and are a waste of money. And then in some moment of weakness, I recanted last year and Beau remembered. They are just beautiful! But then, like it was some act from the heavens above, I actually came across the receipt for them not an hour after they were delivered. Proving that this holiday is SO overpriced and ridiculous! They are 1/3 of the price the rest of the year! I'm back to not wanting flowers anymore but will absolutely cherish these while they last! Love you Beaubs! Thanks for putting up with my back and forth ;)

We all enjoyed this special week. Now, we're looking forward to Spring and Easter!
