We have a church!

I still can't believe we finalized the Church! We did things a little backwards (long story) but it all came together and it's perfect! The ceremony is going to be at the Corpus Christi Cathedral - also where I had my First Communion all those years ago :-) This Church has always had a special place in my heart - not only because of this and b/c it's beautiful but this is also where our high school graduation mass took place. It was very cool.

I have a feeling this is going to be the longest walk of my life ;-) Not because of who will be standing at the end waiting for me (can't wait for this part!), but b/c I don't like being stared at. So, 250 of my closest friends & family looking at me for, what will seem like forever, is going to make me sweat. Just warnin' you, Beau ;-)

That being said, I do understand that it is a once in a lifetime experience and I will revel in it...I have 7 months to prepare!

If a dog was the teacher....

Remember, if a dog was the teacher you would learn things like:
When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joy-ride.
Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.
Take naps.
Stretch before rising.
Run, romp, and play daily.
Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.
On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.
When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
Be loyal.
Never pretend to be something you're not.
If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by, and nuzzle them gently.

A Letter to Myself

Dear Stacey,

Well, here you are. A Blogger. Something you swore to yourself you would never do. Hypocrite. Now you have to figure out how to make your friends laugh, your mom happy and your family proud...good luck! At the very least, try to keep them all awake!

Keep it clean and make Shelby and Beau proud...

Peace out,

You/Me
