Beau sent this picture to me yesterday saying that this little guy is not so little! He actually kept Shelby indoors so that SHE wouldn't get hurt! Ha! I think he's so pretty :-)
If you can get in to the backyard, then can Shelby get out??
How did it get in the backyard??? I was kinda hoping our fence would keep out spiders and snakes but if a turtle can get through a fence, anything can! :)
We have all sorts of turtles like that roaming around here too!! Louie has a full blown hissy fit everytime we see one. Not sure if that is an actual snapping turtle like we have here but if it is be careful though their necks come out about 6 inches and they will try to bite Shelby if she gets to close ;-(
No idea how it got in the backyard! Nikki, YES it is a snapping turtle and I'm so glad that Beau found it and not me! I had no idea about those and he said it could probably kill Shelby. I would have probably had her trying to play with it - yikes!
