23 Week Update (or Tiny Dancer)

I'm hoping the rest of my weeks fly by the way 22 did! 21 took forever - both personally and professionally. I can tell I'm getting bigger and bigger and last night I actually felt sorry for my stomach skin for the first time. It just looked so tight and thin (and veiney). I just know it will never be the same. It's getting more and more itchy and my muscles are feeling so stretched and uncomfortable. I know, this isn't even the beginning of discomfort! I had a bout of "Should I go to the E.R.?" gas pains Saturday night. My. Goodness. There aren't words. I got some Spring time maternity clothes this weekend! I'M READY FOR SPRING! Who do I need to talk to to get this season moving along?! Jebus. Happy 23rd week, Grayson!

Below is the update and a bonus animation of what this little somethin' looks like right about now...

How your baby's growing:

Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With her sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb.
