Helleau 2nd Trimester!

I woke up like a kid on Christmas morning! I just couldn't wait to read this week's update and see what's going on inside of me! But wait. My book introduced me to the second trimester but Babycenter said I'm in the last week of my first trimester?!  I'm glad they don't teach "pregnancy time" in school - everyone would fail. Ugh. Anyway, see below for this week's update! The rest of the chapter was filled with stretch mark and mammary gland talk. Boo.

So, how is the Reynolds Family celebrating such a milestone? Well, Beau and Brinkley are hunting, I'm cleaning the house and Shelby is sleeping deep under her blanket. I know, I know, enough excitement to go 'round!

New this week:

Fingerprints have formed on your baby's tiny fingertips, her veins and organs are clearly visible through her still-thin skin, and her body is starting to catch up with her head — which makes up just a third of her body size now. If you're having a girl, she now has more than 2 million eggs in her ovaries. Your baby is almost 3 inches long (the size of a medium shrimp) and weighs nearly an ounce.

Also developing this week: your baby's vocal chords. Because sound can't travel through your uterus (your baby's current habitat), you won't be able to hear any sounds or cries just yet, but oh boy (or girl) — those vocal chords will get a good workout once that baby is born.

My book tells me we are a peach but the babycenter photo is a shrimp (you are 0-2 babycenter.com), I am changing things up a bit and showing you my non-alien looking baby! We are making progess - your eyes are no longer on the sides of your head!!

It's so amazing to realize how much major development happens so quickly!! All in God's plan . . .
